Location

The Juravinski Cancer Centre is located on the Niagara Escarpment overlooking the city of Hamilton. Our address is 699 Concession Street, Hamilton, ON, L8V 5C2.

Hours

Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
(Some patient activities may occur beyond these hours.)

Transportation

There are two parking lots located near the Cancer Centre.  One is located on Concession St. directly across from the Henderson General Hospital and the other is situation on Poplar Ave. adjacent to the Cancer Centre.  Please refer to the map for details.

Parking is approximately $12.00 per day. Extended time vouchers can be purchased from the Henderson General Hospital.

If you need assistance, your driver can drop you off at the front door of the Centre where wheelchairs are provided.

If you need a volunteer driver, call your local unit of the Canadian Cancer Society as listed in the white pages of your phone book. Local contact information is also available by going to the CCS website and clicking on locations/local offices.

The regional office at 905-575-9220 or 1-800-567-6141 can also supply local contact information for volunteer transportation.

Amenities

Hummingbird Cafe - Opened on October 5th, 2004, the Hummingbird Cafe serves coffee, baked goods, soups and sandwiches. It is located on level 0 of the new wing of the Juravinski Cancer Centre.

Music in the Courtyard - A live music program, initiated on October 14, 2004, Music in the Courtyard is designed to help create a supportive and caring atmosphere for cancer patients. Volunteer musicians will initially perform twice weekly, in the seating area next to the Hummingbird Café.

Atrium Cafe - The Atrium Cafe, operated by the Hamilton Health Sciences Volunteer Association, is located in the Henderson General Hospital, adjoining the Cancer Centre. It offers a selection of hot foods from the grill, served cafeteria-style.

Pharmacy - A retail pharmacy is available on level 2 in the Cancer Centre to serve your needs. Please see the Pharmacy page for more information.
