About Us 

The staff and volunteers of the JCC Patient & Family Resource Centre welcome you to the Juravinski Cancer Centre, and to our brand new resource centre! 

Thanks to the generosity of the Hamilton Professional Firefighters Association, we opened the doors of our resource centre on January 2nd, 2007, and have been serving our community of patients, family members and friends ever since.

We are a lending library and resource centre with a wide range of information in a variety of formats including print, audiovisual and electronic.  Our professional library staff is committed to helping you navigate cancer-related resources to find the best possible resources for you. Three computers for public use, a direct telephone line to the Cancer Information Service, a video viewing centre, and a comfortable seating area round out the space where patients, family members and friends are encouraged to make use of everything the resource centre has to offer.

The Resource Centre is also lucky to have several dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers working with us.  We are pleased to have partnered with Wellwood and the Canadian Cancer Society to enhance our ability to provide information on supportive programs and services in the community for those who are living with cancer.  Please see "Our Staff & Partners" for more information about these excellent organizations.
